Saraswati Welfare Society, the trust registered in the year 1993 with a strong desire to uplift the society by providing quality education to the poor and neglected children living in slum area of Kolsewadi, Kalyan (E). The stimulative thought of “progress of poor through education” lead the society to start its 1st educational institution at Kolsewadi, Kalyan (E) in 1993, with K.G. Section and school grew to std X. In the academic year 2003-04, the first batch of Std X successfully completed the course. The 100% result of SSC board examination for more than 10 years is highlighting the trustee’s dedication towards education. Today, this institution has achieved a unique and remarkable position in the society through its 19 years of enriching services and commitment towards the society.
Our mission is to develop and mould intellectually sharp, physically fit, mentally stable and socially useful citizens of tomorrows who can serve the society and make it prosperous forever.
While looking back, we are greatly honoured. We have provided quality and advanced education to so many generations and lighted their families with hope and happiness. During course of time, the school has achieved tremendous progress in quality education and infrastructure, in spite of the main limitation that this institution is situated in a slum and undeveloped area of Kalyan (E). Indeed, the school is fully fledged with all the facilities to quench our students’ inquisition and curiosity. We believe that the progress of an institution depends mainly on the overall development of students. Our effort is to make our children excellent in academics, sports and all cultural activities by preserving moral values and ethics.
Each and every child is precious with lots of hidden talents and purpose of education is to explore these talents, so as to make good citizens useful to the society. We truly believe that “Education is the only possibility through which the society can be changed to better living conditions and a congenial and peaceful environment”.
Our school plays, the greatest role in changing the society and its people in the sphere of academic, social, economic, mental, moral and physical development. We try to understand and work with each child and we firmly believe that it is our responsibility to enable the child in our care to develop as a whole. Innovation and novel ideas are a key to the bright future, so we put forward a distinctive blend of offerings in the areas of knowledge and enterprise in the form of encouraging students for debates, elocution and quiz contests as well as organizing and taking part in various cultural events. Our school ignites the young minds and moulds the pupils to good citizens and we gained trust and appreciation of thousands of students and their parents alike.
Now, the school is upgraded to Jr. College i.e. S.V.M. English High School & Jr. College of Arts, Science and Commerce in the academic year 2014-15 with two streams, Science and Commerce. The Junior college is provided with all the facilities to quench the students’ inquisition and curiosity. The College offer all the infrastructural facilities including fully fledged library, computer lab, well equipped science laboratory, audio visual, e-learning facility, excellent power back-up including generator, invertors and fire extinguisher system. Surely this new venture will be a blessing for the hundreds of students passed SSC Exam in near area.
