ABOUT THE SOCIETY
This great thought is the brain child of the dedicated and benevolent social worker and the President of Saraswati Welfare Society, Shri Arjun.K.Nair. He is the strength & soul of this great organisation. The main objective of Saraswati Welfare Society is to uplift the poor in and around Kalyan. “Progress of poor through education” is the motto of Saraswati Welfare Society.

Saraswati Welfare Society, the trust registered in the year 1993 (Reg No. MAH/31-93/Thane), under the society’s Act and Public Trust Act of Maharashtra state (F 3388 Thane) with a strong desire to serve and uplift the society by providing quality education to the neglected children living in slum area.

The trust believes that a country will develop or attain progress only when the poor & neglected people of the society will become educated and independent. The mission of Saraswati Welfare Society is to develop and mould intellectually sharp, physically fit, mentally stable and socially useful citizens of tomorrows who can serve the society and make it prosperous forever. Its mission includes to guide and inspire the students to become excellent human beings, competent as well as fair professionals by teaching basic values of humanity; to encourage them to be innovative, creative and excellent in their own discipline.

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES OF SARASWATI WELFARE SOCIETY:
The stimulative thought of progress of poor through education lead the trust to start its revolution in education by establishing its first educational institution i.e. Saraswati Vidya Mandir English High School in Ganeshwadi, Kalyan (E). As one more glorious step to fulfill the mission i.e. slum area development, the society commenced their second marvellous educational institution i.e. Holy Cross English High School in Nandivali, Kalyan (E) in 2007 (from Mont to Std X). The very panorama of the school surroundings is rich in the natural beauty and fresh air. Both these schools provide all the advanced facilities to students such as full fledged library, laboratory and computer lab. It also provides the facility of generator, invertor, fire extinguisher system and more…. Indeed both these institutions have achieved a unique position in the society today and running through the path of progress.
The thirst for real knowledge and wisdom never ends. This belief made the trust to take another giant leap by upgrading the existing school Saraswati Vidya Mandir English High School to Junior College i.e. SVM English High School & Jr. College of Arts, Science & Commerce with 2 streams, Science & Commerce in 2015, which is of course, a new milestone in the history of Saraswati Welfare Society. More than 5,000 students are pursuing their educational careers from these institutions and the society has become a premier educational group in Kalyan.
These two educational institutions provide excellent academic services, with well qualified, trained and experienced teachers. The school offer activity classes for students including Drawing, Handwriting, Classical dance and Karate by well experienced professionals. In total, the institution provides all the facilities to quench the students inquisition and curiosity.
The trust believes that the thirst for knowledge is a great thing and to satisfy that thirst is a great service.
